Every time I was at that the tattoo shop for an appointment, the owner would order tacos for my buddy and I in between breaks, AND GYATTT these are pretty good not gonna kap. We’re Mexicans as well so we were happy that there’s a place here in the Philippines that makes tacos close to real stuff back home.
From Hero to Zero. It was 2021 when I first tried Armada taqueria 's menu items and it was really good. Everything was fresh, flavorful and vibrant. It was good to know that a good mexican food joint is accessible for those who are living here in Lapu-lapu. Fast forward 2023. I ordered 4 items (Chimichanga, Mexi Cali Burrito, Chicken Taco and Los Pollos Quesadilla) through a food delivery app. It took an hour for these items to be ready even though there were no dine in customers (according to the driver whom I asked). That 's already waaay too long. But I brushed it off since I was expecting the same quality of the items I tried back then. Unfortunately everything was disappointing. The tortillas were obviously been in the fridge for too long since it 's all dry and crumbly and just sad. The chicken in the taco was dry too and bland. The pulled pork from the burrito smelled off and there was even a plastic bit in the mix. The crispy chicken from their Los Pollos quesadilla were definitely not crispy and looks like just bits of chicken batter and breading that has been fried. The sour cream was not the sour cream I had before. Now it just tastes like mayonnaise. The salsa rojo is all dried up and tastes salty. The ground meat from the chimichanga is really greasy, salty and dry. The amazing smell that you get from the spices are now gone and so are the flavors which I really appreciated before. Mexican food is fresh, vibrant yet simple and easy to make but I do not know why Armada 's standards have fallen but I hope they could bounce back from this.
Please don't expect to enjoy mexican food here. Greasy, flavourless mush fried with super fake cheese. DO NOT order the Nacho Bake . Taco was a bit better, but bland and really just not enjoyable. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₱400–600 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
