Tabooli - Lansing

I love their food. Never ever have I been disappointed when I ate my chicken shawarma. If fact, it is my go to order. However, the reason I am rating this 3 stars instead of 5 is due to the business practice of the owners. They steal tips from employees when people tip with their debit cards. Employees are only able to get cash tips. I find this unethical, and learned this the hard way when I tipped the employee 15% on my debit card just to find out they wouldn't be getting it.

This restaurant is absolutely disgusting. There is no fresh food to be found. The hot food was clearly days old, with rice crusting around the edges and tahini and hummus placed near the hot dishes. The salads looked like they had been left out overnight. One of my children even got sick from the garlic sauce or hummus. Nothing was appetizing at all. The kitchen was filthy, with unwashed trays used to serve paper plates. The tables and floors were so dirty that finding a clean place to sit was a challenge. The bathroom was in disrepair and covered in sticky handprints. Overall, this place is in desperate need of a thorough cleaning and a major upgrade to their food quality. It seems like there isn't a single chef on staff.

This was by far the worst Mediterranean food I've ever had. My chicken Shawarma Bowl tasted like cat food. Absolutely horrible. Save your money. Hoped my trash liked it.Food: 1/5

Rosa was so warm, welcoming and helpful when making choices. This was our first visit here. We had beef shawarma wrap and chicken shawarma bowl. Lentils and dessert. All the food was wonderfully tasty and filling. We loved everything! Rice pudding was new for us and delicious! Love the art on display too!Food: 5/5
