Bidrage med feedbackWas our first time there and Taylors did not disappoint! Food and drinks were great, not to mention a great waitress Dakota! Look forward to coming back soon!
Wonderful marina! This place is special, great facilities and services in front of the beautiful Chickahominy river with easy access to the James and Chesapeake but not crowded like other rivers and lakes in VA. Awesome restaurant with outdoor seating in front of the docks with even better staff! Everyone is so nice and welcoming. We took our boat out for the first time and Calvert (owner) was actually waiting for us and helped us dock and secure the lines when we got back. After a few times here, it hits you. This is how it is all the time, they treat you like family and is clear they put a lot love and hard work into this awesome place. Our family is so happy we found this gem. I wish I could give them more stars!
Great restaurant, always a good meal. Sitting outside along the river is a big plus. Sheltered so you dont get burnt or rained on. The staff is always very helpful.
Taylor's is a nice place to have drinks, but didn't try the food. Patio overlooking the slips is a great place to relax and watch the boats.
Once upon a time I was in the wholesale food business. Back then we had strict guidelines regarding the sorting of shrimp by size. U10's were the largest and anything smaller than 40 count was bait. The count being how many shrimp it took to make up a pound. These days it appears that you can size shrimp by any descriptive you prefer. Jumbo shrimp can be 26 30 count, which used to be medium. So you can call them Extra large, but they are still 26 30 count. And if you are going to serve a 1/2 pound special for $15.99, there should be at least 13 shrimp in the basket. I had only 9. This size sell to restaurants for about 5 cents apiece. 25 cents of shrimp would go a long way toward customer satisfaction.
