Bidrage med feedbackThis place could be a gem, beautiful location, lovely food and drinks but ruined by a very rude waiter (middle aged English man with slightly crazy styled hair). He was rude straight from first point of contact and at every point throughout our visit. I was told I was untravelled as I did not know what ‘Grog’ was which is on the drinks menu, which I personally think is nasty and unnecessary. All he needed to do was just explain what it was. When we said we could take our business elsewhere he said and I quote ‘it’s not my restaurant, i don’t care, I don’t own it’. He was not only rude to us all but also witnessed his obstructive behaviour towards other customers and overheard a lady say ‘the staff here are aggressive’. This place could be an absolutely beautiful place to stop and have food/drinks but he seriously ruined our atmosphere and have come away feeling frustrated and upset that he ruined our experience.
A place were the staff talk to you like if you a child that needs telling off, it’s definitely to avoided. So out of order. Plenty of other nice friendly places on the slopes
Visited twice for lunch on our skiing holiday, both times had such good experiences. All the food was delicious and very generous portions, the waitresses friendly and fun and contrary to what others have said, they work SO hard and definitely were not rude! We had to wait for a table for about 20 minutes during half term week, but they have a fair system you write your name on a board, and they call your name when a table comes free. That 's why they shouted at the people who reviewed above who tried to sit down at a vacant table, I guess, because they weren 't next in line. Great setting for a restaurant, wonderful view, lovely run down, and some 'magic sugar ' on the house after lunch but perhaps that 's reserved for the guests who aren 't rude to the waiters... ;
The restauranteur was the rudest waiter I’ve ever known. His hair was as stressed as his personality. We hadn’t even been seated before he was rude. It quite put me off my lunch so I skied down to Chalet Grillette. Much better. !
Have visited many times over at least ten years. I’m always drawn back by the tasty Savoyard-style food, perfect for lunch when skiing. Unfortunately and unfailingly the service is rude and one is never welcomed or felt valued as a customer. The last visit was particularly frustrating as we were kept waiting for at least 20 minutes and prevented from sitting (by shouting) at the three free tables. Once we were eventually seated we were then, as it appeared, somewhat intentionally ignored for at least as long again. Once ordered the food came quite promptly and was delicious. Here’s the thing, is it worth it? I’m not so sure anymore as there are plenty of other excellent, friendly restaurants in the resort that offer equally good food in a more enjoyable and relaxing fashion, run by people who care about looking after their customers.
