Bidrage med feedbackI hate to leave a bad review but, this is not a great place to go for an evening meal. Quite expensive with very small portions. We ordered 2 steaks, medium rare and medium, both came extremely well done and felt like they had been cooked a while before. Staff were friendly so nothing against them, but for the price of £40 per steak with sauce, it was very very average. Felt like an old pub with oddly organised tables, no atmosphere and no table service. I would not recommend this. Ps. When we booked Google still shows this as the Dove restaurant, this doesn’t exist anymore so any photos of nice looking food is from the older restaurant that used to be there (check dates)
Food and atmosphere was fantastic. Scampi and chips were cooked very well and the venison and pork sausage roll was very flavourful. The man serving behind the bar was lovely, only drawback was the queue to order as it did take a while but apart from that, fantastic spot to stop and eat. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
The food was great, very tasty, everyone in our party agreed. The service was quick. Only a few snags such as quite a rigid drinks menu (no cocktails), staff who came across as quite stern and strict. The bill system was weird, we wanted to split but they had to run the bill for each guest. These are only minor points, would recommend if you’re looking for food last minute. In general, booking is a requirement in this area due to small capacity restaurants. Parking a short walk away.
Professional and friendly people. Reasonable wine selection and good food Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £70–80 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Very disappointing. This used to be a very nice restaurant but now it seems to be a cross between a pub and a cafe. No atmosphere at all. Food is average at best, the only redeeming factor was the service which was very good Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60
