Trading Bay Dining - Lake Of Bays

We have stopped at this restaurant over the past years when we are doing a motorcycle trip thru Muskoka to see the fall leaves. The location is right on the water and has lots of outside seating on the patio and deck. Unfortunately this pandemic has had a huge effect on the place. There is no eat in dining and you can only order take out. The woman that has been there many years was very friendly and helpful. We wanted a soup but evidently it’s too difficult to package for take out so they did not have any soup. We ordered the chicken wings with their basic sauce. We sat out on the deck and they brought them to us in a take out box . The wings were pretty good and the celery and carrots were crisp. It was a cold afternoon so we ate in all of our gear but there was no wind so it was fairly nice eating outside. If you need to use a washroom be prepared to use a portapoty that’s outside. My wife said it was one of the cleaner ones she has used. This is a great place to eat and I’m sure when all this pandemic **** is over this restaurant will be great again and back to normal!

We called an hour ahead to place our order with Doris. We were on a group group motorcycle ride with 15 people. We arrived and after we were seated our order was ready and correct. Delicious food, with a patio overlooking the water. Thank you Doris! You did an amazing job!

I’ve been going to trading bay for years and I love the jerk chicken wrap. I’ve eaten here twice this summer and both times my wrap was 80% lettuce for 16$. The fries were delicious. I honestly don’t think I will be returning to trading bay since the food overall was really not worth the price.

After visiting the general store and walking around, we wanted to grab some lunch but wasn't sure where to go with our dog. We stopped by the Trading Bay and the older lady at the patio told us we could go to the take out area at the back of the restaurant and sit at the picnic tables. We ordered wings and burgers, and had a lovely time watching the boats go past or stop at the general store. So did our dog!

Managed to get a reservation for Sat dinner and they happened to have live music that day so it was a great afternoon watching the boats come into town, having a few cold ones on the patio and the Brisket sandwich was Amazing! A shout out to the lovely hostess who was able to squeeze us in she was super nice!
