Bidrage med feedbackTo start off there was no fine dining ambience, lights were up full blast. Food was wildly underwhelming (lacked flavor and creativity), small portions and over priced. Service was fine though. Definitely have no intention of going back or recommending to others.
Food was good service was horrible. The place overbooked and was understaffed. Better options to dine in the lake George area.
I was extremely disappointed with the service. For a restaurant of your quality, to have a teenager serve and not know the food and how to pronounce the dishes is very disheartening. From last year to this year there was a huge difference in the Restaurant. Your food is still excellent , but your service was awful. She made us rush through the meal. SERVED cold Cappuccino's . Then to top it off the rest of the party ordered expresso and they were also cold. $700.00 for the meal . Very , very upset. To say the least!
Every summer we vacation at Lake George and last summer we had an extraordinary experience at this restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was incredible. Our waiter at the time was obviously very capable and had been in the industry for some time. So we booked again. Unfortunately, last night the experience was not so great. Although the food was up to standards, the service was absolutely terrible. Our server appeared to have little training and was incapable of taking care of our table. When reading us the specials it was obvious she wasn't familiar with them as she even mispronounced some of the descriptions. We asked for more bread and we're told that there wasn't enough to give people additional portions? Totally ridiculous considering that the eventual bill was over $700 for six people one of whom was a two-year-old child who ate pasta. Requests for certain things had to be made multiple times and the service was extraordinarily slow. And I don't mean slow because this is an upscale restaurant. I mean slow because we waited 10 to 15 minutes between courses. The appetizers were brought to the table which we advised the server we're going to be shared. But there were no extra plates provided which an experienced server would have known to do. When the main courses were brought to the table, which included a pork chop, pork belly, and filet medallions with beef short ribs, the server didn't even bring steak knives. Leaving us all sitting there until she eventually returned into the dining room and we could ask for steak knives. Finally, expressos and cappuccinos brought to the table were cold and by the time the desserts were brought to the table, the coffee had already been finished. The server never even bothered to ask whether we wanted refills. Had it not been for the kind conversation from Aziz, the meal would have been a complete and total disappointment. When you were running a high-end restaurant with, as I said, excellent food, it is unfortunate that the hard work of the chef is spoiled by seriously substandard service.
Wow! The food here is absolutely amazing. The head chef for sure knows what he's doing. I was a bit let down on the sparerib but my wife's pork chop was beyond expectations. We would 100% eat here again!!
