Charlie's Kitchen - Lake George

Food was really good. But Rneeded seasoning. Spirits needed better quality liquors. For the price of cocktail use a better vodka than Tito’s. A Potato vodka would have been a better choice Didn’t get to see desserts. No real picture menu or sample so can’t comment. Salad and bread was very fresh. Would return. Never were seated so wouldn’t know. Walked in at 745pm, stood at wait to be seated sign for 10 min, even though many employees walked by not one acknowledged us. Needs some management and an actual hostess.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My family and I went on a family vacation to lake George. We decided that on one of the nights we would eat at Charlie?s. My sister-in-law called ahead of time to make a reservation, they told us they do not make reservations but that our family could come at 5:30pm. We arrived at the time they requested and the result we found was appalling. The lady at the front entrance looked at our kids with disgust. When asked to be seated she rudely stated she did not think they could serve us and reluctantly stated she would check with someone. She left making remarks with what looked like one of the waitresses. She came back and asked us how many people were in our party again. We told her the number and that one child needed a high chair. She rudely stated well a high chair is still a seat, it takes up space and then went back into the restaurant. She immediately came back out and smirked as she stated ?yea we can?t accommodate you.? The restaurant was basically empty and we were told over the phone we could come. She did not even apologize but instead found it amusing that she turned our family away. This lady obviously did not want our kids there. The worst part was that my oldest son, who is 7 years old, asked me why they didn?t want us there. This place is NOT family friendly and I am beyond disgusted by the way we were treated.

Went to the bar at 8pm on a Tuesday night in October. There were other people. Baseball and hockey on TV. Open and clean and friendly atmosphere. Attentive waitstaff. I felt comfortable being solo female. Had grilled chicken sandwich, yummy. Not extraordinary but good. The local Beer Naked Ale also good. Recommend Charlie's Bar for dinner and a drink.
