The Grandview And Lounge. - LAKE GENEVA

My wife and I really enjoy The Inn and this restaurant. We stay every 3 years or so on our anniversary. When I reserve our Lake side room, I always follow it up with a dinner reservation at the Grandview. We were a bit disappointed this time around as we waited almost 40 minutes for our entrées. We were made aware halfway through the wait that a Rehearsal dinner was in a adjacent room and it was the reason for the delayed entrées.I should think an establishment of this caliper should plan accordingly. We were not the only table with a lengthy wait.Next time, we'll probably visit the Inn but eat elsewhere.

My wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary. Nice view, even not from a window seat, attentive and knowledgeable server. I had the arctic char, she had the halibut caprese. Both were very large portions, both were cooked nicely and were very tasty. Glad we didn't order an appetizer because we had room to split the chocolate tuxedo cake.

My wife and I went to this restaurant for our 10 year wedding anniversary. The waitress was nice but didn't even tell us the specials and I only know when she told the table behind us about the specials. I ordered NY steak and it was really bad. I asked for medium and it was a hockey puck. My wife got like a scallop pasta and that was better but nothing special. The atmosphere was awesome by the water but that's all I say about this place. Would just come here for drinks and not for dinner.

Came here for the 1st time celebrating a grandparents 80th birthday. Ordered the $70 Prime Ribeye which looked absolutely amazing when it came to the table. After the first bite I was very disappointed. The steak was very tough and had lots of inedible parts. I 've had my share of prime grade steaks at places like 5 'oclock steakhouse, Flemming 's, and Capital Grille and this steak was definitely not prime ...more like choice imo. The steak was served on a bed of mashed potatoes that were very bland and did not have a nice whipped consistency. My 11 year old son wouldn 't touch his either. The broccoli that came with was overcooked and also lacked any flavor. Was very disappointed and dissatisfied with the meal. Our server did not ask how the meal was at any point after the plate was delivered. Will not be back and almost feel ripped off after spending $300+ for 2 adults and child. I 've never had a bad meal at any of the mentioned restaurants listed above and they 've all gone above and beyond to ensure we were enjoying our meal.I felt I paid for the nice atmosphere and Lake Geneva status if anything.

We drove from Huntley Il. to find a nice place to dine for our 44th wedding anniversary. Well, we found it here. It checked all of the boxes from the service at the bar to the service and food at dinner. The meals were perfect but sadly, had no room for dessert.Parking: Parking was not an issue at 6pm on a Friday.
