Chantana's Thai Food - Lake Country

The owner chantana is a really nice person and makes the best thai food in the city. it is a great little restaurant to bring her family. about every week I go to this restaurant and have no complaining great service and great eating. Favourite dish... on the menu for me is the Thai hot pad thai.

We had a delicious meal today. the restaurant is open Monday to Saturdays, please change their website message that says incorrectly that it is closed.

The first time that chantana tried out after visiting parallel winery. we took us because we were not hungry when we ordered our food. we had to wait an hour to eat, so I suggest they call in advance, as they have many pickup orders. the bark pad thai tasted very authentic without the orange coloring in most pad thai, since the real thing should not be an orange/red color. the taste was good, but the bark was hard and there was very little ice, sprouts and tofu. we had a rice noodle with bark and a little bit sweet with a lot of broth!? not sure whether the gravure turns into broth/soup. our last entree was the green bark curry, but rice is extra .big and small the curry has too much cocose milk as it exaggerated the taste of the curry. the green curry had a good little kick that it should. the best part of chantana was not eating, but the young lady who served the restaurant gardeners, as well as phone orders and go to order. she was patient, friendly, explained everything to the customers, and especially though she was busy, and she was the only one who worked in front. the restaurant is so happy to have such a competent and fantastic front staff as this young woman!

I spent a month in Thailand and was determined to find the most authentic thai in the okanagan. chantanas is as close as they really get authentic thai. the prices are cheap, the service is great, and eating is the best.

The food at this restaurant is excellent, but unfortunately it is hidden away in a quiet mall. Definitely give this place a try - it's clean, fast, and friendly.
