Macfarlane's Celtic Pub - Lake Charles

Garrett is amazingly funny and witty. The bartender (dark hair w high cheekbones) is knowledgeable and friendly. Food was amazing. We had fried mushrooms, fried cabbage, shepherds pie w a side of green beans, and the salmon with a side of onion rings. For dessert, boozy bread pudding. I also had a chambrois and guiness 1/2 1/2. Yum

Brunch is amazing. If you go any other time than Brunch the Rueben is the way to go!

Took almost 10 minutes to get seated even though there was not a single person in line, it just took someone that long to come to the host stand. We immediately put in our order (2 salads) when we sat down. Waited for almost an hour without so much as a glance from our waitress. We inquired about our food to another member of the staff since our waitress never came by. A few minutes later our waitress finally walks by and says that it shouldn’t be too much longer. Had salmon and shrimp — it was amazing!! Get the chocolate pot!! You won't be disappointed!!

Lived in Belgium for 3 years, traveled to Ireland/UK/Scotland area quite a few times. This place felt like stepping into a pub in downtown Glasgow. Loved it. AND they had some of my favorite Belgian beers that have been damn near impossible to find! Definitely will be back!
