Bidrage med feedbackParking across the street, seating area. Many choices good food.
Over ten different Food Trucks, all different styles of food. Plenty of picnic tables, park in the Times Grocery store parking lot across the street. If your vacation crew can not decide on one style of food, this is an excellent option and fun experience. Everything is fairly priced, quality food, and good portions. Two issues we had where there was no public restrooms and no desert options. You can go across the street and grab a Shaved Ice.
Overall, a good option for tourists in an area that is pretty locked from places to eat near where you are staying without having to spring for a huge price option. The food park is open for Lunch hours, with about half the trucks opening at 11am; it would be nice of course to have everyone open at the same time…no complaints though.2 covered areas (large tents) to sit under and plenty of walking space to where you will not feel crowded around patrons.Parking is tucked away right behind the food trucks and if that should fill up, there is another 25 car space lot next to it as well:)Prices are elevated for sure, but once again, being tourists in Maui, this is the norm expected (unfortunately). With loads of different options though, there is something for everyone and the location is SUPER central to the area!
We went during lunch and only a few places were open. We went to a Mexican truck that has good enchiladas, but the tacos were kinda dry. My friends got a mahi mahi sandwich, calamari, and ahi tuna poke— all super great. I would love to come back for dinner when so many more trucks would be open! They had great tables under tents for shade, which was a great break from the sun!
7-11 food is better and cheaper. If a food truck owner got smart they could have all the business with fast, good, and reasonably price food. The Mexican food could kill you OR is it fish that is so dry you'd think you were in the desert OR you may celebrate a birthday or two while waiting.
