Wild Taco - Laguna Beach

Very Cali friendly staff. Made you feel welcome is a busy area next to beach. Prices were reason and drinks were strong. Nice beer selection and had Happy hour food and drink option.

Walked in thinking it was a standard beach taco place but wow! Really great roasted salsa, excellent ceviche, all types of tacos were great.

Around 7:30ish my family sat down for a bite to eat. A man came by and dropped off some water. There was some discussion between the man and a waitress. After waiting a while the waitress (dark, messy hair) came back to take our orders. I asked about an item on the menu and she just pointed to some other area on the menu that had a similar description. I told her what I wanted, but she continued explaining other items on the menu. While we waited for our food the blinds were lowered so that we could not see the hustle and bustle of the street anymore. Apparently, they were closing up. Another group entered for something to eat, a discussion with the staff ensued and the customers were turned away. Not sure why a restaurant on the beach at the height of summer would close at 8pm. Anyway, the food was served and it was fine, nothing exceptional. The waitress was inattentive throughout, averting her eyes and keeping her head down. I wanted a beer but she was not around, so I went to the bar to get one; the bartender seemed competent, at least. The bill came and I was presented with the device to tip/sign. I told her the service was horrible. She asked why. I told her she was inattentive/not really there. She mumbled something about the person who brought the water initially. Overall, really poor service.

BEST THING EVERRRR. me and my family came here today and we got nachos (gauc and salsa), a chipotle taco, and a fajita steak. I AM IN LOVEE. i love tacos sm and these were the best i have had in so long. and their watermelon water thingy was also delicious!!! go to wild taco ppl u will not regret it!

Absolutely amazing! Inexpensive and so high qualityRecommend the elote and watermelon Agua Fresca.Incredibly clean and fresh!! Will be coming
