Delicious food. Very pricey. Nice corner small indoor eating space. Minimal parking. Nice to walk along beach and use access stairs on Cleo st.

Addressing “Greg’s” review below…..So instead of talking to your buddy the owner because you’re both old school; you chose to business shame his business on social media? You have 9 reviews and 7 of them are all negative. No one. I mean no one, wants to work in the food service industry anymore. It’s not about the pay. It’s about the way food service employees are treated by customers. I’m at this location a few times a week. I have witnessed some appalling treatment towards the employees. Not to mention that they are severely unstaffed, working their tails off, trying to keep the line moving quickly, dealing with heat or freezing temperatures in there, massive demands from customers that think they’re entitled to speak rudely to employees, etc. Maybe try appreciating that the business is still open (so many have closed) and appreciate the employees that showed up and are working hard. When these guys get a lull for a few minutes, they are working and preparing for the next rush. I eat out most everyday and the struggle is real EVERYWHERE.

My expectations for this place are set low. It is what it is.. I’ve been supporting this local business off and on for at least 20 years and I like the long time owner, we are of the same generation, kinda old school, the way I like it. That said, the morning of August 23rd, stopped in to have breakfast. The girl working the counter gave me the impression that she was unhappy working there. Could’ve been my misperception however, as I walked away to sit with my coffee and await my order, the impression I was left with was that she had absolutely zero personality, none. Not someone you’d want forward facing as the front person for any business. When breakfast arrived it was sort of semi-tossed on the countertop to my left side with a “here” as she about faced and quickly scurried away. Kinda rubbed me the wrong way, as if she were feeding an animal. Come to think of it, believe she’d treat an animal better.. this confirmed my zero personality assessment in the first place. Made me feel like I should just take my business up the street to the Penguin. Just saying.

Staff was nice and accommodating. The croissants were so good!!

Went in for a good omelet breakfast with some good coffee. It was busy, but the crew kept the line moving. After ordering, we got a nice table outside. The meal came quickly and was very good and filling. I had the veggie omelet and thought the veggies were fresh and delicious. The egg was a bit bland, but a little pepper was all it needed. The coffee was good, but the Blueberry muffins are amazingly good. Definitely a place to visit when in Laguna Beach.
