Black Olive - Lagos

I was so confused by this place. The food was yummy but they didn’t have Tonic and “insisted” sprite was a substitute for my Gin Tonic I ordered. And don’t sell any beers either. The ambiance isn’t great either we were all hot and sweaty at the upstairs sitting. The staff are pleasant though.

Food was OK. Nice decor. Service could be better but was understandable cos of the pandemic. Worth a try

Black olives restaurant is currently closed. But they still got it that it’s open. Drove down there to find out they are not operational. The three star is about the location, ease of access, and the security of the environment.

I was at black olive for a friend 's bridal shower. Wasn 't the yummiest platter but it wasn 't the worst thing I 've ever eaten. I also tried the gift meat and curry Goat. The rice was freshly boiled,but still a bit "wet ', and the Goat a little undercooked bit there was flavour. Would I go back , perhaps but I wasn 't impressed.

Great service, food and ambiance. A little pricey but hey its located in the heart of Ikoyi so i guess. I went there on a week day so the place was relatively quiet and not too many customers around. The wait time between ordering and getting served was reasonable and the waiters were friendly and responsive.
