Martha Local - Lafayette

The Local has a good selection of American and Mexican dishes. Their beer selection was better than the traditional domestics, Parking is a bit tricky due to current construction on 4th st. There is parking in the back via the alley access.

Worth coming to! I was hesitant to come eat here as it is a smoking place BUT it doesn't smell of smoke and when I was there no one was smoking. It has some of the best tacos in the area. Good beer. Great people. Friendly, welcoming service! They make you feel at home the moment you sit down. It's nothing fancy inside, just a bar, but what it lacks in atmosphere they more than make up for with food and service. A must try.

Had 2 chicken tacos and 4 beers. Enough filling fell into my plate for at least 1 extra taco. Chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Freshly cut tomatoes, onions and Zilantro?.(You can see everything prepared from the bar). Bill was close to $20. Owners are friendly, service was great, locals are creepy?. were back several times and continued.
