Bidrage med feedbackWe were looking for Curry Up Now, didn't realize it was actually part of the Local Kitchens mini food hall, which we'd never seen before but were thrilled to find. We ended up ordering from The Melt and Sushirrito as well, and loved everything. Ordering and pickup were easy, the staff was friendly, and the whole place looked spotless. Our family of four got tikka masala paneer on rice, garlic parmesan fries, tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons, and chicken karaage with Peruvian herb sauce. There were so many great options, we'll definitely be back again soon. It's the perfect place for a group. It's sort of magical that the same little place can provide so many different types of food, all fresh and tasty. There are a few picnic tables out front in case you want to eat there. For takeout, I recommend using the Local Kitchens app to order in advance.
In town visiting friends and they had an app with local kitchen. Clicked on the vegan category and ordered the Hella Vegan Burrito. It was really good! Cool concept here.
I love that I can order through Local Kitchens here in Lafayette. It is fast, convenient, and I get to order food I've heard about through social media and other sources! Super fast and easy, makes my office lunch something I look forward to.
I never thought inedible Indian food existed until I tried Curry Up Now. It's one of those places where they spend more money on branding than they do the actual food. Super manufactured and no where close to being authentic. Everything was a watery mess. There was no flavor and asking for extra spicy brought it up to levels of your average Taco Bell ground beef. The quality of the components didn't even come close to prices that were being asked. Tried it once and it was bad, but gave it another shot and it was equally disappointing. Won't try it again, especially with there being much better Indian street food options in the area.
This review summarizes my 12+ experiences of ordering Curry Up Now through the Local Kitchens micro food hall. My go-to order, pending availability, is the Hella Vegan Burrito. (For any Curry Up Now fans, this dish is the burrito version of the Deconstructed Samosa). This hefty burrito consists of a samosa wrapped in a tortilla that is stuffed with rice and chickpeas. Flavor-wise, the mild curry is complemented by sweet and tangy chutney, rounding out a solid vegan dish. Local Kitchens provides a convenient to-go ordering platform to help satisfy my cravings for Curry Up Now; however, availability and burrito construction can be a hit or miss (I 've received burritos that have completely fallen apart as soon as I removed the foil). This hasn 't stopped me from ordering their burritos on every visit, though, and I 'm sure I 'll be back very soon!
