Thai Orchids - La Vista

The food was really good. Best chicken pad Thai I've had in the area. My husband got the chicken fried rice and the portions were plenty. We also enjoyed the fried spring rolls. The only complaint we had was service. It was packed and there was only 2 people waiting tables. It took forever to get drinks and our food took a while to come out. The appetizer came out with dinner which was disappointing.

We've been here and ordered out here many times and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend the Southern Curry Beef. It is amazing. What a great find! Highly recommended.

My wife and I decided to try some Thai food this past Saturday, and we feel like we found a gem with this place.  Initially, we were a bit skeptical as this restaurant isn't much to look at from the outside (strip mall).  Once we went inside we were really impressed.  The décor is very tasteful and nicer than expected.  We had arrived exactly when the restaurant opened and were greeted by the chef which was a real treat.  He was extremely pleasant.  It wasn't long before half the restaurant was full, and the speed of service didn't seem to be impacted at all.  Overall, the service was good, the wait staff was friendly, and the food was terrific.  I don't try Thai often, however, I do enjoy a variety other Asian inspired fare, and this was absolutely delicious.  The only negative about the food was the spice level.  I enjoy extremely spicy fare, and this was a little shy of my taste level. The entire experience however was excellent.  I would... read more

Great Thai food. The curry is thicker then what I'm used to but still very good. Our server took our order with head phones on? What's up with that? Besides that I would recommend Thai Orchid.

A co-worker and I went to Thai Orchards for lunch today during our 1 hour lunch break. The first impression I got was positive as the dining room looked clean and orderly. We promptly gave the waiter our order and he brought out our water and soft drink quickly. That is where my experience with Thai Orchards staff ended until the end of our visit. After waiting for 30 minutes with no word from the waiter and having two tables served who were seated after we were, my co-worker and I decided that we had given them enough of a chance. We stood up and got our coats on, on our way out we told the waiter that we had to leave and he just responded with 'OK'. I wish I could have tried their food but I guess I won't be getting that chance. The owner or manager needs to understand that when people are coming in for lunch on a workday, they need to be much faster (although I suspect that our order got lost somewhere since two other tables were served before we were and the waiters attitude when we left).
