Bidrage med feedbackBeen here a lot of times and this resto never fails to amaze us. The waiter suggested to us to get seafood paella instead of paella of the day bec of its small serving. If you’re unsure what to get, ask for suggestions — they never pair to give the best dinner combo.. They also sell tapas wine which you can consume bring home (if there’s leftover). Price is a little cheaper than Barcino. There is live acoustic music every night (Wed-Sat) outside the resto.
Good Spanish restaurant in Burgos Circle offering good Sangria and food. We had a few glasses of good Red Sangria. The complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic goes well with sangria. Chicken Salpicao was good as was Tortilla Catalana. The latter is a fluffy omelette stuffed with sausage and white beans.
Bistro Madrid Offers great value for Money Spanish Classics that are surefire crowd pleasures. The cuisine they serve treads the fine line of upscale dining and comfort food. I particularly liked their Paella, the rice had the right balance of texture and flavor with generous portions of seafood artfully laid out on top a sea of curry colored rice it’s as good in the palate as it is on camera phones. The highlight of the meal for me was the Cocido bistro Madrid. It’s as if the meat has completely fused with the broth, it’s rich and tasty without losing the kind of balance that prevents your tastebuds from getting overwhelmed. If bu some unfortunate twist of fate you fell into a semi-coma state, I truly believe the broth can nurse you back to health.
One of my favorite spots in the BGC area because not only they are affordable but the service is very good for a low-key Spanish restaurant. I am always here for their wine and cheese platter.
There are many Spanish restaurants in the city, but only a few can represent the authenticity towards its dishes. Bistro Madrid is one of those few and I promise you that once you sink your teeth in one of their dishes, your mind will instantly be transported to the different regions of Spain. Chopi Fritos (415 php) [with vinegar escabeche sauce] “ Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I really like how the baby squid was only lightly coated and that the melted blue cheese gives it this amazing burst of flavor.” Cocido Bistro Madrid (785 php) [meats embutido vegetables chickpeas] “ A simple looking dish yet packed full of flavor. I absolutely adored the chickpeas that came in the stew. It was firm yet soft to the bite.” Arroz Al Caldero (745 php) [squid mussels fish] “ The generous servings of fish, mussels, and squid accompanied well with the perfectly cooked rice. However, I prefer having the risotto itself to have a stronger seafood flavor so that it wouldn’t be too dependent on the seafood elements that came with the dish. Callos Ala Penélope (445 php) [tripe chorizo chickpeas] “ One of my personal favorite dishes. Taste wise, it was heavenly. The tripe was soft, but what I really enjoyed the most were the little pieces of Bistro Madrid’s homemade chorizo which gave this already flavorful dish, a lot more flavor!” Piggy High (445 php) “A good ratio of meat and fat. Flavor wise, I loved the kick of spice!” Terry’s Butifarra Sausage (445 php) “It’s a lot more meatier than your usual fatty sausage, so it dries up faster. Just make sure to enjoy it while it’s still hot.” Leche Frita (240 php) [cinnamon aniseeds lemon zest] “It’s like deep fried Panna Cotta. I really like how the flavor from the aniseeds stood out, and to accompany it with a bit of sweetness from the melted sugar and a touch of zestiness from the lemon makes this dessert unlike any other!” Artisan Ice Cream by Bistro Madrid “Given the fixed Zomato Foodie Meetup Menu of April 15, 2019, this dessert was labeled as, “Chefs Surprise!” and it sure was! The ice cream was to die for. It was somehow chewy kind of like dirty ice cream. The rest of the components that came with the ice cream not only gave it another flavor element, but as well as texture which makes me leaving me wanting for more.” Signature Sangria “There’s only one word that I would describe their Sangria and that’s “balance”. It’s difficult making a good Sangria, but I would have to say Bistro Madrid has nailed theirs by balancing the alcohol content and fruity notes to this drink.” Although Bistro Madrid’s dishes may be a tad bit too pricey, they guarantee that their dishes are made from only the freshest ingredients, and of course love. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind with your special someone, or even with your family. They have nothing else to offer but their cozy atmosphere, accommodating service, authentic food, and their finest wines.
