Chez Aldo - La Teste-de-Buch

The best way to close the perfect day-camping in a beautiful beach from the world and in the forest. The food is great and the staff friendly. Relaxed and cozy, such a beautiful place! Try the tuna a la plancha with pepper sauce and chorizo, incredible!

Some friends and I went to Chez Aldo for coffee and a light lunch this summer. At first we were greeted with diligence, which we for general tiredness with the current summer season in this very tourist area (fair enough). As one of my friends dared to ask if the restaurant sells fruit, the owner quite a lot naked with her that they were not a grocery store and if they had fruit, then they would be reserved for their customers. Strange when we set an order just before...? If we hadn't done it, we would have left us as a result. Observing the situation gave us the impression that the owner "was no longer respectful for his employees than for his customers (or whatever he was for us), as it seemed a very unfriendly atmosphere and rough sound of the voice behind the counter. In addition, the young girl who prepared our coffees had no idea how to run an espresso machine. Added to this is a land, an overpriced menu and a lack of options (my girlfriend asking for fruit is high gluten intolerant, therefore the standard Panini sandwiches were not suitable for them) and the conclusion is quickly not a place where you need to spend your time or money.

The food was fine, but the service was terrible. Wait 45 minutes to order, then arrive half an hour later for the first dishes. My order was forgotten as Wifi-error. Lunch time almost 3 hours. Never confessed.

We weren't really looking for somewhere to eat but visited the beach in the early evening and decided to try it out. Very glad we did. The restaurant wasn't very busy (early July) and we were served very quickly. I imagine it would be much...busier in peak season. The food was great and reasonably priced and the atmosphere was lovely. Very relaxed and pleasant. Would definately recomend a visit.

L'accueil est chaleureux, les serveurs sont au petit soin et le service rapide (un dimanche soir). Nous avons pris le bar grillé et la lotte au curry, nous nous sommes régalés!! C'est agréable de trouver une cuisine originale en bord de plage, en profitant du couché de soleil.
