La Creperie du Theatre - La Rochelle

This lovely, personal little creperie has some of the most interesting choices for delicious home made creeps. We were there twice in two days and both times were really pleased with the creeps, the price and the service. I have a big problem with dairy, and they were really accommodating, especially considering we were in France (land of creme) and in a creperie! There are so many creperies in France, but this one really stands out!

We are not crepe experts but we were quite happy with our service when we showed up just after 18h00, which is quite early for supper in France. Our hostess was warm, service was efficient, and the crepes were hot and tasty when we received them. The interior is homey, with a rustic French feel. Seating is a bit cramped, which is typical in French restaurants. Don't expect plastic cups for your kids' drinks--it is common for children to eat like the adults. That being said, when we left the establishment, there were at least two other families with small children and some couples dining, everyone Fancophone. It helps to try to speak French, they will appreciate your efforts. I think the meal was between 25-30 Euros for 2 adults, 2 small children, incl. drinks.

This place offers authentic, tasty crepes with fresh ingredients and a large choice, both for savoury and sweet options. We had two crepes/galettes each and found all delicious. We were also impressed by the friendliness of the staff who took their time to advise us on places to go for the night. In terms of cost, it was really good value too.

Cela faisait longtemps que nous n'avions pas mangé des galettes et des crêpes aussi bonnes ! Les prix sont très attractifs, et la cuisine pleine de de saveurs... sans oublier les propriétaires qui sont charmants, nous avons passé une agréable soirée dans leur restaurant.

Creperie dans la tradition. Une carte un peu plus fournie serait un plus mais on trouve de quoi se restaurer sans problème.Service de qualité qui laisse le temps aux gens de choisir. Le serveur est même venu demander si nous avions terminé l'apéritif pour lancer les crêpes repas.La chocolat flambée grand marnier est excellente ....
