Don Olivo Gourmet - La Montana

We visit the island very often with our divers and Don Olivo is one of the must places to stop! King Crab is amazing as well as any other dish Amparo and Olivier prepare for us. We usually visit in groups, but we also recomend it in pairs as it has a very cozy atmosphere. You won't regret it!!

In Don Olivo you are welcome to their home/restaurant that treats you as a family member. Food is amazing, very affordable, fresh and tasty. And the stories they tell you about the island while a nice Colombian coffee in their living room is the best way to finish an amazing meal. I'll go again and again.

An unforgettable experience to meet the owners and eat delicious fresh shrimps. Most of the food is grown either from the sea or in the garden, an amazing **** considering that there is no flowing water! Want to come back next time.

We visited Don Olivo while returning from a hike to Morgan’s Head. It’s a very special place with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere (due to the owners), wonderful fresh home-cooked food, and the best coffee on the island. Ring the bell to let them know you’re coming in. Don’t miss it!

Barracuda and the lobster tail, both perfectly prepared and seasoned, served with a fresh side salad, including some very delicious onions. There are also very decent wine, by glass or bottle. The quality of the products and the ability of Don Olivo and his wife in the kitchen are both of a very high standard. In addition, they are such an interesting couple to chat with and we spent much longer than expected in their home enjoying their company expected. They also have a really sweet dog and a few cats that add to the charm of their home. We went here in the evening and I would recommend bringing mosquito defense with you at this time as we have found this to a problem in the face of the natural environment, but this will not take from your enjoyment of food!
