Bidrage med feedbackLa comida era buena pero tuvimos una experiencia horrible con el gerente cuando le pedimos la cuenta y yo tenía una pregunta sobre por qué en la factura nos pedían que pagáramos los cobiertos , con una simple pregunta el gerente dijo que lo haría. quitarlo de la cuenta pero también dijo que éramos miserables de una manera muy grosera. Después de pagar la cuenta salimos del restaurante y dije gracias, cuando cruzamos la calle el gerente fue a la puerta principal del restaurante y gritó muy fuerte miserables , extremadamente grosero y descortés. Nunca recomendaré este lugar a nadie. El gerente no fue nada respetuoso. Ten cuidado, intentarán hacerte pagar por algo que va contra la ley. The food was good but we had a horrible experience with the manager when we asked for the bill and I had a question about why in the bill they were asking us to pay the cobiertos , with a simple question the manager said the he will remove it from the bill but also said that we were miserables in a very rude way. After pay the bill we left the restaurant and I said thanks, when we crossed the street the manager went to the front door of restaurant and shout very loud miserables , extremely rude and unpolite. I will never rcomend this place for anyone. The manager wasn 't respectful at all. Be careful, they will try to make you to pay for something that is against the law.
The food was delicious. The croquettes were amazing and I don’t usually eat oxtail so there is something to be said about that. The steak was also very good. The service was excellent. The prices seemed reasonable, I was satisfied with the portion for the price. Definitely a do again!
I went with a group of friends last Friday at 8pm after a recommendation from a work mate in Gibraltar. I´ve lived in La Linea for around three years now, and none of us had been here before so we thought we would give it a shot. It´s a little off the beaten track but not to difficult to find. The Meson is divived into a tapas bar and a sit down restaurant, the latter of which is well looked after and where we decided to eat as there were six of us and it looked a bit cramped in the tapas bar. Anyways, the service was nothing special if I´m honest. We opted for some starters to share and then some main courses (see uploaded receipt for prices). The food was good, but it was more expensive then what we are used to paying in la linea. Once we divided the bill between 6, it came to 27 euros each, which is quite a lot given that we only had a couple of drinks each. Maybe I´m being harsh and unfairly comparing it to other places in La Linea, but after a big meal like this most restaurants offer some sort of shot of something like Pacharan, but not here, and as a result the general feeling of the group was the night here was okay, but we wouldn´t be coming back and it´s the first time in La Linea that we made a unanimous decision not to leave a tip! Maybe I´m being too harsh after just one visit. But the food didn´t stand out as anything special. But to be fair I will go back and try the tapas bar next time and leave another review.
Every dish I had was better the the next starting with the potato salad and the bread that comes for free. The pulpo a la gallega was tender and spiced just right. The Salmorejo was out of this world. The Salmonetes were delicious. The Cojinas devine. I'd skip the tuna tartare. We had a breaded meat dish that was excellent. And even dessert was worth it. I can't wait to go back.
Buen restaurante en La Linea, productos de calidad, bien cocinados, servicio muy amable y buena relación calidad precio, muy recomendable
