Shin's La Jolla

I was hoping for a seaside view at Shin, but was let down by the street view instead. The food was enjoyable and had an authentic taste of Japan. The sushi was good overall, although some pieces were not as fresh as I had hoped. The staff was fantastic, being friendly and accommodating. The prices were very reasonable for what we ordered, especially considering the downtown La Jolla location.

Wonderful experience. Really nice and helpful server (Naomi) and friendly manager (Morgan). Delicious sashimi, rolls and spicy edamame at reasonable prices. Wine on the glass was okay not to write home. Small place, but so good.

Terrible Italian food. I hope her Japanese food is better.

Loves the location and although the restaurant is small, the ambience is beautiful. The menu is very limited for the price

We always enjoy Shin's modern Japanese-Italian food. Shin's is succeeded in bringing Japanese fine healthy concept into high quality of Italian food. Shin's is continuing to create cutting edge gastronomy based on refined cooking technique of Japanese chefs. I like Linguine with fresh sea food and marbled Wagyu beef. Location is very nice in down town La Jolla, although dining space and tables are limited.
