We were very impressed with the quality of their wines, especially given that they are a wine bar that makes their wines in a brewery style/environment. We took one of each of their wines. Customer service was great, very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable people.

A new wine bar has just opened the road from me, LJ Crafted Wines, which has quickly become one of my top 5 spots in San Diego. Their wines come from Sonoma and are served directly from the barrels. The owner, Lowell Jooste, has a lot of detailed thinking and effort in every aspect of the execution of this concept, not to mention a deep passion for wine that all show in his experience. The wines, the third vintage, are excellent. The menu, also excellent, is usually light, app-style fair from her cook, Kim of Luxury Goodies, to perfectly match the wines. The staff is very knowledgeable about wine and food, attentive and friendly. Every pairing they proposed was on site. For example, my meal yesterday: extraordinary pairings in which each of the combinations were better together than they were alone. I had: Sliver from Gorgonzola, Pear Quiche with cold penne slightly dressed in Lime, Cilantro EVO with there 2015 Stuart, Sauvignon Blanc Spinach Salad with the 2015 Hoot Owl Viognier (unfiltriert) Bacon packed Dates Feta/Olive App with their 2014 Petite Verdot.
