Palmer Place - La Grange

Our server was the best and super family friendly. Our kids loved her and were always happy when she returned to check on us. Order: Benchmark, Mexicali Burger, Fish Chips, Potato Skins and two kids meals. Everything was great.

While the staff was nice and the place had a nice vibe their famous corned beef sandwich was a big disappointment. The soggy bread, hardish melted cheese, and luke warm meat leads me to believe that this was sitting on the counter for a good while. The half potato skins were pretty good but not what I thought potato skins are. If I return I won 't be having the below average corned beef.

First time here, so glad my Sis in law brought me here!! It was cozy, alot of room super clean! I ordered the BLT club...ohhhboy it was big delicious, I could only eat 1/2 it was a big sandwich (love leftovers) the coleslaw was yum! Sis ordered a nice juicy burger fries said it was awesome! The young lady that took care of us was so sweet friendly she made us feel very welcome!!! Thank you Palmer House Staff for a great 1st time experience I will be back!!!

I have been coming here for over 35 years. During this time, it has gone through changes, most recently, new owners. Presently, their menu items have gone downhill, more miss than hit, and for the prices they charge, they should at least be tasty and look appealing.

Excellent lunch this afternoon. Food was delicious. I started with the crab cake appetizer. For my entree, I went with the Wagyu filet and a side of hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were particularly phenomenal today. I took out, to enjoy later, a tiramisu for dessert because I was quite full. Service was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere pleasant as usual.
