Bidrage med feedbackThe service was great as the restaurant was so busy - really lovely and worth a detour. The fish was amazing .
Had a relaxed dinner here in july 2013. The outside space is amazing. The restaurant is beautifully restored and is overlooking the idyllic town square. The food is actually good. It's more than just another tourist trap. Don't expect haute cuisine, but it's good, honest food. The staff (all female) is friendly, but seeing it was rather busy, they were in a bit of a rush. We tried to get a second bottle of water and had to ask about 5 times. They have the typical kids menu's (french fries with burger, chicken,...) so the kids were happy too.Overall, good value for money in a wonderfull setting. Be sure to have an after-dinner walk-a-round in La Garde-Adhémar. It's a lovely medieval village.
Been to L'absinthe a couple of times and if the weather is nice, the setting is fantastic, exactly what you want in a provencal village...The food and service were both OK, not fantastic, but acceptable, and bearing in mind there were 20 of us on one occasion, they managed pretty well. Prices are about average and food was a bit better than average, so on balance, good value.Would be happy to go there again for another nice lunch.
On a rather blustery early fall day, I very much enjoyed the seasonally appropriate rabbit casserole and rather garlicky mashed potatoes. My husband and son gave great reviews to the Dorado and a Pesto Pasta. The ambience was quintessential French countryside coolness - and the hillside town was perfect for a postprandial stroll before heading back on the road..
Loved this place. Not our first choice but what a stroke of luck. Simple and unfussy. We both had salad. Fois Gras and a Caesar's. Perfectly put together with a nice touch of a tapenade toast on the side. Beautiful.
