El Sitio - La Dorada

We thought on our way home was a fast meal. You have a lot of variety on the menu. It seems popular with locals. We had pizza and it was good.

Geneally I prefer not to go to places with a cover charge and the cover charge here at Co$ 20,000 was excessive, especially with regard to the service received. Once inside we were not allowed to sit where we wanted unless we bought a minimum...of a bottle of spirits. The rationale that 6 of us would be paying much more than the price of a bottle of spirits in beer and cocktails didn't cut any ice and we were relegated to a rear table with television screens relaying the live band. The TV screens were connected to a camera that would have been modern in CCTV terms in 1970, the resolution was appalling. We then had ot wait 20 minutes before any drinks arrived at our table, which considering they were about 50% full at this point was exceptionally disappointing, as we had paid a cover charge at this point we felt obliged to stay. Service improved during the evening but not much. The saving grace of the evening at this point was the band who were very accomplished and great to watch, albeit mostly on crappy TV and listen too, they provided the best music of the evening by far, as everything else was at volume 11 rendering conversation futile across a table. By far the most annoying incident of the night is to be accused of theft when we were prevented from leaving at the door becasue we had left our receipt on the table. That might sound a bit harsh but the door staff effectively said we don't believe you have paid. As a paying client, and we paid over Co$ 500,000 during the course of the night I do not expect to be treated as a suspected theief, I suspect the regulars may be accustomed to this sort of shoddy treatment but I for one will never go back there on the basis of their attitude. Think of it this way, how owuld they feel if I wanted to see evidence that they were not selling counterfeit spirits? I suspect they would be offended.

I was surprised how good the food was. Had the pollo. It was very good. The live music was good too.

Located next to park 93 this place provides good food and good music. During the weekend you have to pay COP 20.000 cover charge. We had steaks which were quite tasty. The live music animates people to dance and brings a party feeling to the...location. To be mentioned is the very friendly staff there.

The food is terrible!!! simply drink a beer or something that comes in a bottle, do not even trust the recipes the cocktails.
