Le Solstice - La Daille

The food is good, the setting is nice but a little stuffy, the service is deplorable and the prices are prohibitive (for example, the same pizza recipe costs 48€ or 49€ depending on which page you look at in the menu. Also keep a close eye on the bill: they charge you for products not ordered! No wonder the restaurant was practically empty. There are so many nicer places in Val d'Isère! Very nice establishment at the bottom of the slopes. Meals one at midday, the other in the evening. Attentive staff and original, well-cooked dishes. Excellent restaurant in Val-d'Isère, we had lunch there several times during the week, always very good, attentive and smiling staff, varied and sophisticated menu. Very good suggestions and cocktails with an ideal location at the foot of the slopes and views of the mountains. What a terrible place. They abuse their location with high prices which is not complimented by the poor service and average food. A long way off what I would expect from a 5* hotel. Plus they charge for tap water which is laughable! If you go as a family they are not interested as their focus appears to be on tables spending money on wine. Won't be going back.
