Casa Romana - La Châtre

I have visited this place quite frequently and usually the food is quite good. During my last visit however the muscles were a bit dry and the entrecote wasn't as tender as it should be. The interior has recently been renewed which is nice to see and personnel was friendly like always. Will give the restaurant another try in a few months from now to see if the food has improved.

I have been several times before so I am even more disappointed. The staff are courteous and reasonably efficient. The wait was very long. We both had steaks. My wife had rare and I had very rare. Hers seemed ok but mine looked awful and it was, well done tough and tasted of old, no very old dairy cow. I sent it back, it was replaced gracefully but I have a feeling it’s not the same owners at the helm. Anyway enough of a bad experience to not return.

Very friendly service and the food was all to a good standard. We got there for opening time on a summers evening. People were still arriving as we left after 2200hrs. Service was quite slow but it was extremely busy. Seems like their takeaway side of things does well. The four pasta dish was amazing. I wound recommend this place.

Late reservation but no problem. The officials do everything to welcome you. pizza dressrto rather good and stuffed with pasta quite tasty. However the waiting time is really long, the organization of the service is probably to review, much too many tables and choices on the map! the waitresses seemed exhausted by this fact despite their smile the service is rather average.
