Sushi Wakon - Kyoto

Amazing Grandmakase dinner! We sat at the counter, right in front of the chef who prepared our dishes and it was a very nice, personal experience. It is great to see how the fish is cut perfectly and how the sushi is rolled with so much care. You could really taste that everything was super fresh and high quality. We also went with the love pairing that was a great supplement of food! Would 100% recommend this place for anyone looking for a delicious, traditional Japanese sushi experience!

After I had a hard time getting a table, I had an unforgettable experience here. The restaurant is located on the grounds of the famous four-year hotel in Kyoto, beautifully decorated and cozy. The highlight is the counter. Sushi is located in the centre of the restaurant where the chefs are very professional and hospitable. The food is very fresh, accompanied by the skillful processing of the chefs. The interactive information of the house manager. Every dish comes very well tuned and complete. The wine here is also very tasty, the quiet and luxurious atmosphere gives you the full experience of enjoying dinner with unforgettable dishes. This is our experience. in September 2018.

Really great omakase with attentive service from both the chef and waitress. The sushi was better than some of the higher rated establishments on Tokyo and very very highly recommended. Can't wait to visit again.

Fantastic restaurant! This was one of the best meals we had during our stay in Japan and it’s up there as the best sushi we ever had. I don’t understand the negative reviews at all and would highly recommend this restaurant.
