Topeng Warung Food Stalls - Kuta

I score quite rarely five stars, but here is the thing: this relatively small place is actually a jewel that you can easily miss when you hang in Legian and look for your next meal. It looks smaller than it is, it must be seriously improved in terms of lights and surroundings, and yet: the first time I stopped on a very hot day in April 2019, I am hungry, and I expected nothing but a decent lunch. Huge surprise when my mango juice arrived, along with my gut, some warm garlic bread. I noticed something unusual enough in Bali and it lifted my eyebrows: no sugar added in a real freshly pressed mango juice. The first good point. When I considered the first discovery, the smell from this kitchen had already increased my appetite and wow... that garlic bread was just a miracle, followed by a Pesto Pasta plate that made me enthusiastic. I forgot the very strong heat this day and my regret that there are no fans to make it easier, but if this happens to you, do not make the same mistake, there is plenty of freshness here as you progress in the square, and in the night heat is no problem. Since then, I regularly visited Topeng, and I fell in love with the bruschetta (take it from a regular visitor in Nice, on the French Riviera, where this is the very local speciality), and then with an extraordinary Pasta a la carbonara. Many people stop by to have a quick look at the menu, but do not enter, probably because the place needs this little upgrade to make it more attractive and I have now learned that this happens and funny, a few nights ago, I literally packed the place by recommending an attempt to walkers... None of them discussed my recommendation after their meal. The service is a little long, because this is a small team, but the tasteful drinks make it easy. A strong go for the quality and the Savoir fairy of the cook in different styles, locally or not.

We had the rendang, the chicken satay, and the ramen. They were all amazing. Highly recommend this place. Prices are too good.
