Good quick eat. Food is served fast. Customer service is good.
This place was eerily quiet on a Friday evening. The interior was very spacious and the set up reminded me of some of the restaurants in Malaysia. Service was very pleasant. <br/ <br/ I had the fish head curry laksa with hokkien noodles. The laksa broth was alarmingly oily but it tasted amazing....probably one of the better laksa in town. It was well spiced and there was a generous amount of nicely fried fish head pieces. The fried eggplant was lovely but I didn't appreciate the broccoli. Genuine laksa should not have broccoli, carrots or tomatoes (one of my pet peeves! . <br/ <br/ I first tried Sambal Kampung in their new outlet in Doncaster (no zomato listing yet and really liked their food there. It's pleasing to see that this was consistent across their branches.
Good place for a cheap and cheerful asian feed. It has options from all over asia to choose from. Quite a few come from the bain marie which I don't usually prefer but that is what you get for the price. I had the laksa which was very good (not quite at the level of somewhere like Laksa King but good for something that wasn't their only focus. This is a popular place and I totally get why.
Hidden away in Little Collins Street, came to this place for a quick lunch. Wasn't disappointed. Ordered a Chicken Curry Laksa and Cendol. Curry laksa broth was tasty and lemak. Nice chunky morsels of chicken. Generous serve of noodles. Cendol also tasted good.
