Cosy Tasty Chinese Dumpling - Kurunjang

Came out for date night here after a recommendation from a friend and we were so impressed. It is just a small little place on nepean hwy so you can mistakenly underestimate the quality. Lovely team who were quick to serve us, polite and with smiles it was a great experience. Our favorite dish for the night was the salt and pepper squid. Holy heck was is good, fresh, light, perfectly battered and crispy. We only had an entree and regretted not getting it as a main. We also had the pork pan friend dumplings, eggplant and capsicum pan fried dumplings and nasi goreng rice, it was all incredible! I really enjoy the vegetarian dumplings, I wouldn't normally get a vegetarian option but it sounded really tasty and I was not disappointed. We will definitely be back! Edit: have been back multiple times and yet to have a bad dish here and always the same lovely and speedy service. Mongolian Hokkien Me with Beef delicious, seems like such a simple dish and they manage to pack in a bunch of flavour! Great portion sizes as well.

AMAZING!! This tiny restaurant is my go to restaurant when I don't have the kids. The yummiest dumplings on the peninsula! As a regular, I know their service can be VERY SLOW so please be patient with them, it's well worth the wait. I recomend mixed grilled dumplings, grilled vegetarian dumplings and a plate of sizzling hot special house beef. Their Nasi Goreng is my absolute favourite and I always order an extra one to take home for lunch the next day.

Great food, friendly staff, good location though their sign is too small so you can easily missed it. Their hokkien mee (egg noodles) with garlic and pepper sauce is so good, must try.

Omg wow, this is our favorite restaurant in Frankston, the staff are always awesome and the price is great, oh and the food is orgasmic. Tonight we turned away from our traditional favorites and dumplings and tried something new. The Kung Pao Chicken is incredible. You can leave without dessert so we had our always favorite chocolate wontons but tonight we also tried the banana dumplings. Just wow yum wow. Please don't ever change a thing cosy and tasty you da bomb!
