I spent a week there in September 2019. What an explosion! The hosts are beautiful, the place is quiet and beautiful as expected. With some tailor-made arrangements with the hosts we organized a trip to a national park “nearby”, as well as pickup in a nearby station and meals, with vegetables from their garden! The property was clean, WiFi connection, private loo, great for some reading or explore around. I had one of the biggest times when I visited a new country! There is also a cat and a dog that are the sweetest! I had a tough time to say goodbye.
I had a really cool time in Barabrith. The place is a kind of oasis that you do not expect to come in the country of this region. It is an inspiring little DIY household with friendly and generous people I really like to talk to. The older Lord is above all just a bundle of laughter and joy! He's also a big collector of funny things, so if you're lucky, he could give you a look into his room that's going to happen like a teenage dream! Our accommodation was beautiful and minimalist, quite perfect by my standards a large comfortable bed in a room all covered with wood. In addition to an excellent selection of books, the kitchen offers all kinds of pleasures sauces, spices, nuts, teas and many other delicious things. Every day our hosts made great meals for us, mostly with vegetables from their own garden. But the nerves do not end on the surface of the table! When you remove the tablecloth and lift the top, it becomes a pool table! Needless to say, most evenings we stayed in the kitchen long after dinner. As for breakfast, I would suggest the neat handmade pavilion on the farm, overlooking the incredibly quiet forest that we then went through. You can get some really beautiful mushrooms on the way and your little contribution to lunch in this way. One day we rode into a friendly neighbor who removed a fallen tree from the forest path, and he invited us to his house for some beautiful homemade Rakija. My favorite adventure was cycling to the river. The water is incredibly clean and the secluded, cozy little beach offers a really nice view. Our mischievous host thought of a great idea to entertain us, he tied a rope to a tree to swing and jump into the river! To strike a balance between monkeys and some serious tourism, we went to check the interesting bits of Partisan history nearby. And to finish everything, we even had to see a punk show in Karlovac as there was a festival. For the whole week I spent in Barabrith, I felt free from the fetters of the fighting city life and got a touch of an independent, creative way of life, which is supported by solidarity among all the creatures involved.

We were two nights in barabrith and really enjoyed our time there. it was great to be surrounded by nature and this peaceful atmosphere. especially our neat wood room was comfortable. the hostes were welcoming and very friendly, which made us feel as if we were to hausemoreover, which was prepared by the hostes was simply delicious! it was an honor for us to be able to taste the vegan version of barabrith, which tasted excellent. we had burek with various fillings such as musrooms or different types of sweet and sweet and we also had some delicious baked kartoffels with beautiful filled paprika from their own garden. all in all we can only recommend jons barabrith (both the cake and the accommodation).
