Mother India - Kristiansand

The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious, served in a charming and cozy atmosphere. The staff was attentive and friendly, with a good knowledge of the menu. I would gladly dine here every day if I had the chance!

Food was tasteless and overpriced. Had the so called ‘’tender lamb’’ but it was rather dry. Very expencive starter dishes. My girlfriend had the butter chicken wich was tasteless and was nothing like butter chicken. The waitresses did not communicate with us, they just took our plates when they thought we were finished eating… Would not recommend this for anyone! Big disappointment.

The food is absolutely lovely, with a great range of dishes for vegetarians. I love the fact you can choose how spicy your food is from 1 to 6. Perfect to get everyones taste in spice. The staff were lovely and friendly and it was a lovely meal with a big group of friends.

Sorry to say, but this is poor and disappointing Mother India. Ate butter chicken, garlic tikka, naan, garlic naan, kids menu/chicken, raita and Pickles. Best dish, garlic tikka. Worst dish, kids chicken, pre-cooked and dry. Butter chicken, is not a butter chicken, but guess they can cover themselves under ‘its their personal butter chicken’. Naan, sorry, but a nan should be cooked Properly, juicy, soft, but still have the crispy touch to it. Not much of that on this Nan, havent seen 1 second in a tandoori oven unfortunately. Sorry, but over-priced and not worth the time. Stay away.

We booked a table for 3 at 6 pm and when we arrived the table was not ready and we had to wait which takes away the point of booking a table. When we had just finished eating the owner came to us and asked if we wanted anything and we said no and she said to come with her to pay after we had been there for 1,5 hours. I didnt get the chance to finish my iced tea. Very bad service, not going there again.
