Food Asylum Take Away By Sabi Sushi

Very happy with the sushi and the Japanese tacos. friendly staff!

I ordered the 20-piece sashimi menu at this restaurant. The price was decent, but the fish could have been cut better, especially the salmon, and it was too cold for my liking. Despite this, the sashimi was tasty. I was surprised that there was no rice included on the side, but I understand that's not always the case with sashimi. However, what was more disappointing was the lack of ponzu sauce, which had to be ordered separately and increased the price. This is something they should consider changing to stay competitive with other sushi places I've been to. Additionally, we also ordered a vegetarian sushi mix. The rice was warm but had an overpowering vinegar taste. The futomaki rolls were too small, with more nori than rice, making them chewy and unpleasant. One of us experienced bloating and diarrhea afterwards, possibly due to the rice or hygiene of the equipment. The Wakame side dish was very cold, perhaps because we ate in the store which is more geared towards takeout. The avocados and fish were delicious, and the staff was friendly. Overall, the experience was not great, but it could have just been bad luck. If it had been just one issue, I would be less critical, but since there were multiple problems, I am giving a lower rating for now. I hope this feedback is helpful for improvement.

Too expensive and not so much head over ht sushi directly opposite. prices are lower and quality is repaired.

Sushi! the tempura could have been crispy. I recommend you try the spicy edamame.

Forty minutes to make twelve pieces of sushi is unacceptable. The competitor across the street is faster, cheaper and has better customer service
