Nok's Kitchen - Koh Phangan

Many vegan foods, very tasty and really cheep. the service is very friendly. when they’re reviewing “slow” and “we wait so long”, good and fresh food needs some time. she cooks everything fresh and with love.

We had to wait for like a hour or more for our dishes. Because nok is the only one who cook the food in this restaurant and no one helps her. The restaurant was full of people so it was so slow. It was delicious but so annoying.

This place has dedicated a side on the menu for vegan vegetarian food, but unfortunately it is very subduing. penang curry was only watery cocosnus with some very small pieces chopped vegetables, no tofu etc. The tom yum was probably the best dish, but it also contained only very small pieces of vegetables and lacked any deep of taste. the service was very slow despite no other customers and eating did not come together. the staff is not so friendly, but it is quite cheap. so many amazing vegan places in this area I will certainly not scare back. updated by previous review on 2022-01-02

We decided to give this place a go after seeing it on the app. We tried a few of their simple Thai dishes. The kitchen is right in the middle of the restaurant so it's comforting that you can see exactly what is going on. When we ordered the cook was quick to confirm that she completely understood veganism. The dishes we had were satisfactory and we got them spicy which we wanted as most places don't make as spicy as we'd like. Prices are very cheap. The place is pretty basic but it definitely does the job for some cheap Thai grub. Updated from previous review on 2020-02-21
