Mayflower - Königswinter

Haben dort vor einigen Tagen das Buffet ausprobiert. Neben den gängigen Gerichten, welche man von dem typischen Asia-Buffet bereits kennt, gab es noch eine Frischzubereitung von Gemüse und Fleisch nach eigenen Wünschen.Uns hat alles geschmeckt! :-)

We knew this restaurant from a previous visit to Königswinter, and went there again on our first evening. It hasn’t changed, so what you get is Chinese food (we took the evening buffet at 13.9 euro - midday buffet is around 9 euro), which is good, tasty and of course plentiful. We were able to sit outside where the tablecloths had seen better days, but you do get a nice view of the Rhine. The only really negative thing to mention is the saké that we ordered after our meal, which lacked any kind of taste. Service was friendly. So, we will certainly return, but we won’t be ordering any saké.

Dieses Restaurant ist absolut zu empfehlen! Die Auswahl ist groß (Suppen, Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte mit Fisch, Rindfleisch, Ente, Hähnchen, Schweinefleisch, Gemüse/Salat, Obst, Pudding, gebackene Bananen und Eis), alles war frisch und sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Preis für so ein Mittagessen einfach unglaublich - nur 7,90 pro Person! Wenn wir wieder in Königswinter sind, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder!

We decided to dine here one evening and were tempted by the buffet on offer at 12.80 Euros. I like to try different Chinese dishes so a buffet is ideal. However, I think on this occasion we made the wrong choice. The buffet was about average and some items were only warm. Having said that, what we had was tasty. We did however see dishes from the normal menu being delivered to nearby tables and they looked really nice. Portions appeared large and there were many empty plates following the meal. The staff were very nice and the bill for two buffets and two glasses of wine was 31.80 Euros, so not bad. I would go back but I think I would choose from the main menu.

We ate there after visiting Europa-park. The selection variety is good, the quality is very good and overall we were very happy. One of the best Chinese buffets we've been at an amazing price. My girlfriend is vegetarian and she was very satisfied from the variety and the food.
