Ech Kolsch - Köln

Went for lunch. Service could be improved, as waiter took my order wrong and they are not vey attent. Price/quality bit on the high side. Has a very nice terrace and is well situated close to Dom thus anyway worth for a fast lunch or a drink.

A friend who has lived in the Cologne area for nearly 50 years recommended this small restaurant. I was in Cologne for six nights: I dined here three times. The menu is limited, but everything I had was very good. My only disappointment was, despite what my friend told me, there was no Wienerschnitzel with veal, only pork. The prices were moderate; the service was good. I shall return.

I thought it was too early (7.15 in the evening), but I entered in the place. The waiter asked me if I wanted to drink, 'cause the kitchen had closed at 7.00. Actually, I was there to eat, so the guy told me he would try to get the kitchen opened again for me. Result, I had a great roasted pork with mashed potatoes and german cabbage, coupled with a good ice-cold beer. So, I recommend this restaurant not only for the food, but also for their kindness.

A bit simple, for that, the dishes are so delicious. Carving with roast potatoes, haxe m. Potato puree or sprinkled, just delicious.

Very good food. Rumpsteak could be offered in different sizes
