Bidrage med feedbackWe had a very nice dinner here. The food was very good, typical german cuisine. The staff was very friendly and also could explain details about the history of the (very old) building.
Had a lovely apple strudel with a glass of red wine, service was pleasant and helpful. Definitely worth a stop to get a way from the other noisy pubs!
Food cooked beautiful. Quaint little setting. Service superb. A great choice for our only night in Cologne. We had the pork chop and schnitzel which was perfect. The local asparagus was legendary. Thank you for a lovely evening.
This restaurant occupies one of the few remaining medieval buildings in Köln overlooking the West Bank of the Rhine in Fischmarkt.Inside it is two stories of delightful dark-stained wood. There is a limited menu but this is supplemented with a quite extensive specials board (in English.) There is also an extensive wine list. The food quality is excellent: simple dishes presented in Haute Cuisine style and not too expensive. The staff are very attentive and friendly.
We saw this restaurant in passing and booked a table there after reading the reviews on tripadvisor. In the event, we needn't have booked as there were only a few other people inside. The restaurant is small and cosy and offers relaxed dining; the staff friendly and helpful. The menu had a reasonable choice of dishes supplemented by quite a few 'specials'. However once having taken our order, we were offered tasty bread with pureed pea and tomato followed by amuse-bouches; this was a pleasant and welcome surprise. Then we had our starter and main course. All was delicious and beautifully presented and of decent portion size. The cost was reasonable and we felt it was good value for money. Definitely to be recommended for somewhere to eat when in Cologne.
