Galija is a Mediterranean restaurant that once belonged to the name Kroati, but after modernization it is likely that all old loads should be separated. And so that the new concept continues, the tonal name of Galiia is chosen. I always like to go to Kroatia as a child and have always enjoyed eating the grill plate. I still know how I left when my parents wanted to go with me to eat that we wanted to go to Kroatia. I found it very cozy and the food was for me then simply the most delicious thing I knew until then. “Even if my mother is a very good cook.” As a child, the taste buds are still in development. Agency: But now we come to today’s “Galija” the Galija is still managed by the same family as before the Croatian, unfortunately the rustic style was completely abandoned and handed over to the modern. What I find personally. But that was probably only necessary to get the desired target group into the restaurant, because food does not seem to be all for many. It must also be modern. Unfortunately, the new style does not go entirely on it is all very cold and it is switched from all corners, it is partly louder than in a well-stocked fast restaurant. If you are looking for a cozy restaurant to shut off, it is only partially at the right place for Galija, because if it should be full, it is very loud. Especially if a closed company is still in the separated area, it is unfortunately also only adequately shielded from the noise, it has almost something from Brauhaus Feeling. Food: We were so often in Galiia that I would like to describe the exact day of cooking, but exactly what to say in general. As far as taste is concerned, you cannot bend Galiia. The only thing that doesn't come with me is the nostalgia factor, but you can't expect that. Today I prefer to eat the liver from the grill the portions in Galija are almost too large for the price you pay here. For the liver you pay here 9.50 with Djuvecreis and Pommes as well as a salad. And this looks as follows from 3-4 large slices of liver 1.balls of rice and a good part of pommes. I don't like food for my earlier beloved grill plate because you sometimes feel the same food for 3-4 different types of meat. Because it doesn't stand apart tastefully. There are drinks for the Kölsch friends Gaffel fresh out of the barrel, and for the Pils lovers there are King Pilsener. Only the wheat drinkers have to look into the bottle, here is the Erdinger wheat. Conclusion: So overall, Galija is a restaurant where everyone should find what it tastes. If you like it, you should look for something else. Personally, forgive me, although I have always tasted good here, only 4 stars. Because everything looks very cold and impersonal and can be a little louder in the evening than in comparable restaurants. All in all, I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who stands on large portions of meat at a good price. Vegetarians have the choice between 2 dishes once the vegetable plate and once the cheese plate. I hope I have forgotten nothing else that I will update this post over time when I was back in Galija and changed something.
Finally, I succeeded in rebuilding the long-awaited visit to Galiia, formerly “Croatia”, which was recently completely rebuilt, renovated and also restored. The design of the building and the beautifully landscaped terrace conveys a noble and at the same time cozy ambience with enormous feel-good factor. Directly on the highway and the strongly driven Berlinerstr. Terrace, however, is not for guests who expect tranquility and sensual pleasure... because the highway, which is driven very strongly depending on the time of day, is uncomfortable despite noise walls! The interior that was kept exclusively modern, I felt very appealing at first. At the convenient, padded bank, I felt the spatial division design in subareas “unhappy”, in places “cool” (Mensa optics) and the noise level almost unbearable even at very low guest frequency. In line with the “style” of the house, the waiter appeared, who gave an equally undercooled impression throughout the entire stay. There were honeymelons with Serrano and then hunter carvings with Rösti (The Rösti were unfortunately Convenience) a grill plate and Cevapcici with pommes. Tastefully everything was “in the green area”, our food convinced only one of three people. The prices are in Galija in the upper midfield, the quality has not been adjusted and/or in accordance with the food or price. The location also includes a trendy stylish pub and a bowling alley that I did not visit. All in all a "weather" visit without calculable repetition factor.
