Grauer Bar Cafe Restaurant

Unfortunately, our experience here has left a bad taste in our mouth both literally and figuratively. We were hungry when we arrived and sat on the beautiful terrace and quickly received our drinks. That was the last nice part of the evening. Shortly after the order, the wind started taking up and the clouds rolled in. So we asked the waiter if we could go in at some point. He said there were no free tables at the moment, but he would check for us. The weather starts getting worse and we see other diners either get their check quickly or move inward. We ask again, but essentially are ignored. The rain starts with 3 of 5 ducks. We'll ask you to get the bill. We're the only table out now. As we clearly don't get a table, we start eating quickly as it rains on us and our food. The food was tasteless and overcooked, so now we will eat on rain and bad food. It was the worst scavenger and beetle that I lived in Germany in 7 years. No one was happy with one of the 4 different entrees. Oh, and we're still waiting for two dishes. Another server comes by and clears all the remaining dishes from the other tables. We'll ask for the bill. It starts to thunder loud. Finally, the last duck comes, even if it is clear, we don't want to eat further in the rain. No offer to fight it. A third time we ask for the bill. Now the lightning starts as our waiter delivers a last missing salad (serious?! We explain (in German, why we are not very happy with this experience, and let us just say it was not a polite answer. We finally collect our things and follow to pay inside where they still sit new people, without reservations. But apparently there was no room for us. The worst culinary experience I had for years. Although it would have made a decent service a big difference, I would still not recommend this restaurant to everyone because the beautiful view was not for the waste of our money on food that was simply bad.

We passed this restaurant on our way to Italy and decided to stop here for lunch. It was nice weather and the terrace was packed (however they did not put the maximum of tables, probably to keep up with service). Service was not super fast...but comprehensible considering the crowd. We had a nice goulash and grilled fish. Both were good. The terrace has an excellent view on the lake. Nice place for a short rest.

Hotel, restaurant, Biergarten, and Spa. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly. The view from our balcony was peaceful and relaxing. The food in the restaurant was well prepared and delicious.

The food was really nice and the choice is endless, for vegetarians too: I particularly recommend the soups (which are amazing) and the vegetarian strüdel mix! The staff was also pretty nice and the view from the patio is great! Recommended.

The food was awful. My husband ordered schweinebraten (roastpork) and it arrived boiled. I mentioned it to the waiter at the end and he said, “yes that’s the schweinebraten”. I said the clue was in the name, braten not boiled! My daughter wouldn’t eat a...mouthful of her schnitzel. My cordon bleu was not great. The service was excellent as were the views.
