Located just a 10-minute walk from JR Maiko Train Station or Sanyo Kasumigaura Train Station, this restaurant is run by Toshie, the wife of the head priest of the temple. Toshie, who hails from Holland, is passionate about sharing Japanese vegetarian cuisine with foreigners. I tried the delicious spotted anal and soy chicken, which completely blew my mind! Toshie also runs a project to provide lunches for less fortunate children. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to learn more about Japanese vegan culture.
