Belgian Beer Bistro - Ko Pha-Ngan

Found this by chance when searching for places to eat during our stay. Hubby loves Belgian Beers, and this place sold his favourite, Westmalla Triple! It was walking distance from our hotel. We were advised to book for dinner. It's a decent sized place and it was quite busy. It was very warm, lots of fans but it was still too warm for us to really enjoy it fully. That said, OMG! The food was amazing!! We shared steak tartare, as a starter, we didn't realise it came with chips (Belgian fries!! , but it did and they were amazing!! The tartare was delicious and it was big!! I had a burger, Frenchie, extra cheese because there is never enough..well here there is!! Hubby had fish and chips, it was Barramundi and it was perfectly cooked with a crispy, crunchy batter. Oh, and those chips again!!! You will not be disappointed!! And they do beer to take away!!

We visited the restaurant tonight with a group of 5 adults and unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our experience. Only one dish, the mussels, was good. The fish and chips were burnt and swimming in oil, while the French fries were also oily. The mashed potatoes had chunks of unmashed potatoes in them. The Sea Scallops were meant to be grilled but came on a clam shell covered in melted cheese. We also ordered an expensive steak dish which was just okay, small, and overcooked. The service was incredibly slow. Overall, we do not plan on returning to this restaurant.

Great restaurant with great food and good wine list wine expensive but no more than other places. Portions a good size. Definitely the cleanest toilets I have seen in the area.

Uooooou such an amazing food. Everything we order was amazing. The mussels, the burger and the pasta carbonara. The staff was also very nice and there is good vibes around. Its in front of the beach. To arrive you need to go on the road next to the 7/11

Outstanding food and service. We enjoyed the pulled lamb shoulder and the duck parmentier (like a cottage pie). The meals were high quality and generous portions. Both dishes came with a delicious gravy on the side. The restaurant has pleasant décor with comfortable chairs and regular height tables. It has changing weekly specials. We would like to have returned but it was our last night.
