This Starbucks, located in the historic McNeill house, may not allow for the most efficient line-up space but the atmosphere is wonderful. We loved the heritage of the house, and the fact that nothing has been done in the interests of efficiency and profit to destroy the evidence of Canada's first generation of settlers. Check out the wide beams, the fireplace, and the lintels within the house. My Dad remembers it all from his youth 95 years ago...Starbucks serves a tasty lunch offering (with coffee, of course) so the menu has no great surprises. But what is a surprise is Starbucks respect for local heritage--and those great chairs along the verandah!
Alway nice to site and have a coffee while people watching. No one ever get the feeling of being rushed out.
We wandered through Kleinburg with our puppy and stopped to enjoy a great cup of coffee while we sat in cozy Adirondack chairs on the porch. The staff were friendly and quick to recommend a treat to accompany our coffees.
The cafe at the McMichael Gallery having closed at 3:30, we went to Starbucks for a coffee before returning to Toronto. The space is very attractive, and the coffee is what you would expect it to be. One downer: the Christmas carols being played were too loud.
