Bidrage med feedbackWether you hike, bike or drive do not miss this wonderful Alm! They bake their own bread, bake their own butter and cheese and distil their own liquor. The owners are pleasant and helpful, the food excellent and the prices reasonable. The homemade pearl barley soup I had was absolutely top-class. It is a little hidden, about a 45-minute walk from the main road, but the dirt road to the alms is easy to travel if you wish. Do not expect gourmet food, but wonderful snacks smoked ham or bacon, sausage, cheese and super cake Try it, you will not regret it
In the last two years, this was a must in heavy rain. The owner Barbara is always very welcoming her alm house is great, the food is made at home and generous portions. As you enter the inviting odours from the kitchen, make you hungry. A very good selection of typical Austrian dishes both hot and cold. Many rooms both inside and outside. Wednesday closed
Another excellent place to stop when you hike or mountain biking or just walk the dog. Home made cheese, bread, ham and liquor excellent cakes too! Friendly fast service and a wonderful location. Future prices, what could you want more?
About 40 minutes walk from Aschau in the middle of the woods serves delicious homemade cakes, local cheese/meat and a good selection of traditional meals. The day we were, we had a selection of chocolate or raspberry cake. The raspberry cream cake was as light as a feather and very fresh and tasty while my men sachertorte style cakes with eyelashes of the cream was the best he cost and he has cost a lot). We had a big coffee that came with a welcome glass of water and everything was well presented. This is a traditional family cottage and as usual in Austria is exceptionally clean and family was really friendly and welcoming.
