Starbucks The Oracle

In my opinion the coffee is very good and is so much better than instant. Can you get better coffee, only in Italy is the answer. Great Americano coffee.

The man who took our order was very friendly, but unfortunately the woman preparing the orders was not as pleasant. Despite taking our name when we ordered, she did not call us when our order was ready. We had to go back to the counter and ask where our order was, and she simply pointed and said it was there. When we asked for milk, she abruptly asked which one we wanted. My wife requested full fat milk, but was given a 4 pint bottle without any indication. Our tea was warm when we finally sat down, likely because it had been sitting on the counter for too long while the woman prepared the order and didn't call us. It was frustrating that our name was taken but we were not called when our order was ready. We left with half-empty cups because the tea had gone cold before we could finish it. Additionally, the seating area was messy with tables not being cleared and lots of mess on the floor. Overall, we will not be returning to Starbucks Oracle Reading.

My recent visit to Starbucks Riverside in Reading for a spiced pumpkin latte was disappointing. We arrived around 7:30 pm to find only one barista working on both the tills and making drinks. Despite the delicious latte, it was clear that she was overwhelmed by the number of customers inside. It was concerning to see her visibly stressed and struggling to keep up. As someone who works in customer service, I found it unacceptable and cruel to leave her on her own during a busy evening. Starbucks should be ashamed for not providing proper support to their employees. I urge them to do better in the future as they have lost a customer due to this experience.

I have become addicted to coffee from here. I only used to drink it rarely but now must while away a few hours a week in secret in here with my muffin and latte. Oh dear.

I'd just like to thank the Starbucks team for not only putting aside my gloves I left there, but also for sending them onto my home address and including a delicious biscuit inside. That's above and beyond. I'm most grateful. What a kind and thoughtful Team. AC.
