Bidrage med feedbackI had an opportunity to capture Cassandra and Rafael's wedding at this charming venue on June 10th, 2023. From a photographer's perspective, this place is an absolute gem.The getting ready shots were a dream to capture inside the property. The rooms upstairs provided the perfect amount of natural light, allowing me to create those airy and light portraits that we all adore. Downstairs, the groom's getting ready area ensured that Cassandra and Rafael didn't accidentally catch a glimpse of each other before the ceremony – a thoughtful detail that I greatly appreciated. The ceremony took place outside. Surrounded by rolling hills and trees, this setting offered me a plethora of angles to capture the heartfelt moments. If a countryside wedding is your vision, then this venue should be your top pick. One thing to note, though, is the summer heat and humidity. As a suggestion, if you're considering this property for your big day during the hotter months, I highly recommend scheduling your couple's shoot after 6 pm to take advantage of the cooler temperatures and avoid the harsh sun. I took pictures around 4 pm which was also ok, but golden hour and sunset lighting just hit different. The reception hall is nothing short of perfection. With its generous space, it comfortably accommodated around 100 guests. What really stood out to me was the abundance of natural light that flooded the space, giving the reception a fresh and airy atmosphere that's a photographer's dream. In summary, if you're searching for a wedding venue that offers a blend of rustic charm, ample space, and breathtaking natural surroundings, this is the place for you. As a wedding photographer, I can confidently recommend this venue to all brides-to-be.
Absolutely loved working at this gorgeous venue! It is beautiful from every angle. Staff made sure that bride and groom were satisfied to the fullest with their day and even surprised them with the fireworks! Everyone had a great time!
I’m not sure how I came across this venue but finding it was a saving grace when I was feeling doubtful searching for the perfect venue for our wedding after not having much luck. The venue was a bit far for us than we hoped but it was so beautiful, we couldn’t pass on the opportunity! I was looking for a modern farmhouse/outdoor venue to fit our modern, classy, and minimalistic vision and Dan and Ian as well as Melissa our day of coordinator) brought our vision to life! They were all so kind, detailed and made our day of feel relaxed, hopeful, and exciting. I know they originally were a restaurant as well so I did not have any doubts about the food. Our guests were raving about the truffle ravioli, brisket, salmon, and quite honestly everything! I adored the outdoor space to have our ceremony out there overlooking the beautiful trees and the modern reception space with just oh so beautiful chandeliers. I was looking for a venue to speak for itself so I can make decor simple and save on costs and this venue certainly did it! They did a great job renovating the space and I’m so sad Dan and Ian will be relocating to a different venue and Melissa will be leaving to work for a different venue: We appreciated all the staff. Thank you for making our dreams come true!
We had the great privilege of having our August 2020 wedding at Durham Springs, and we could not have been more pleased with our planning experience and, of course, the special day! Durham Springs was the first venue we looked at after getting engaged in late February 2020, and we knew pretty much instantly that it would be the perfect place for us. We were drawn to the beauty of the venue, and then meeting with owners Dan and Ian drew us in even further. They are incredibly kind and welcoming and immediately made it clear that the description of their wedding services listed on the website antithesis to cookie cutter venues and going the extra mile were true. It wasn 't long after that that the world pretty much turned upside down with COVID 19. That feeling of being in good hands did not go away. In fact, we saw their willingness to go the extra mile even more through the many times we had to revisit our plans and make decisions for how we would move forward in light of COVID regulations. We were honored to get to work so closely with Dan to bring our event to life. He maintained consistent communication with our wedding planner and relieved so much of our stress by being flexible and getting creative...(really creative! throughout the months leading up to the event. I also loved that he invited us to be creative with him and prioritized bringing our vision to life. Dan and the team at Durham Springs have truly shown that it is possible to have a beautiful and SAFE wedding during this time. Our wedding was absolutely perfect! We were able to have it in August with 135 guests, fully outdoors on the beautiful grounds of the venue in open air tents. Social distancing and masking measures were followed, incredibly enough in a way that did not hinder a communal, celebratory feel. The staff went the extra mile with making the grounds look beautiful, and there was not a single detail that was missed. I was grateful for the attentive on site event coordinator and our personal server during dinner. They made it easy for us to fully enjoy and experience our wedding. The food was to die for! Our guests could not stop raving about the amazing venue and food, and how thankful they were for the opportunity to gather in such a safe way to celebrate our wedding. We also love that we can return to the restaurant whenever we want to reflect on the amazing memories made there. Definitely check out Durham Springs for your wedding or special event. You will not be disappointed!
