Pizza Express - Kingston upon Thames

What an awful experience my wife and I had here.We ordered a starter each only one turned up massively over cooked.We then had the misfortune of having our next course which comprised of a cold pizza and a Pollo Pasta dish that looked like it had been hanging around for a while.I ate part of the pizza and explained to the waiter that I was unhappy about my pizza.He mumbled that he was sorry and just walked away.!! Its the worst meal we as a couple had had in a long time coupled with really rude and incompetent staff.(at one point there were more staff than customers). All in all a very bad experience…

Great food ,super fast,super friendly 5 star's. For sure we will be back. Love the Romana American hot Nhami nhami

This particular Pizza Express location tends to have inconsistent service. Unfortunately, during my visit, the service was quite poor. There seemed to be a shortage of staff, leading to long wait times for food and missed dishes. The managers at Pizza Express need to support their line staff better. It's a shame, as the restaurant is in a great location and should be operating at its best.

The service was good overall, but our pizzas had a doughy, undercooked crust. It would have been helpful to be asked how we preferred our pizzas to be cooked. The desserts were overpriced - £7.45 each for Tiramisu and Fudge cake, and £5.45 for 2 scoops of ice cream is quite expensive.

Pizza Express is typically reliable, offering familiar and tasty dishes. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, the quality is usually worth it. However, our recent experience was a bit disappointing. Our waitress was new, so we understand that she was still learning the ropes. Despite this, it took a while to get our drinks after being seated. The food came out quickly, but it wasn't as hot as we would have liked. One dish even had to be sent back because it was cold. We had to ask for extra cutlery and our desserts didn't all arrive together. We felt rushed throughout the meal and the restaurant seemed eager to close by the time we left at 9:30pm. Despite there being plenty of staff on hand, the level of customer service was lacking. It was surprising to see the restaurant almost empty on a Friday night at 9:30pm.
